Super Nintendo World: Attractions

24 - Yoshi's Journey
Climb aboard a Yoshi for a scenic tour of Super Nintendo World. It's a great ride for the whole family!

QUEUE:
Guests enter the ride through the base of Mount Beanpole, a hill-like structure in the center of the land. As they go through, they will see notes on the wall, explaining that Captain Toad has gone missing. They then pass by Toadette, who will explain how Yoshis have volunteered to take them looking for him. As they ascend a stairway, guests head to the top of the mountain, where they board omnimover vehicles designed like Yoshis.

RIDE EXPERIENCE:
Guests can move their Yoshis to the left or the right, thus making it easier to see certain points of interest.

The ride begins by crossing over a bridge and going past a piranha plant. After narrowly escaping it's Jaws, they pass under a konk-dor. They also move pass some vines, but go carefully around them. Then, they go through a cave where Captain Toad's starship, the Starshroom, has crashed. Here is where guests can find his crew, trying to repair the damaged vessel.

They then cross a bridge over to a desert area, where they dodge some pokeys. After going through the tombs, they find Captain Toad in front of a golden Yoshi egg, trying to switch it in an Indiana Jones-style way. Then, they pass into a room where a giant ferris wheel is, bearing four Renzors. Captain Toad fends them off as he orders the guests to leave the pyramid.

Soon enough, guests escape and head back to the green area. There, they pass by Yoshi, who waves at them as they pass by. They then cross back over to Mount Beanpole, where Captain Toad thanks them. He is standing on a ? block while holding the golden Yoshi egg. After this, they return to the loading area and get off their vehicles.

25 - Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge
(Height: 42")
Race alongside Team Mario in an epic virtual reality experience with advanced technology and spectacular visual effects!

QUEUE:
Located in the back of the Mushroom Kingdom is Bowser's Castle. Guests ascend the steps of the ominous fortress before going over the drawbridge and entering the building. There, they pass through many rooms, including a throne room, Bowser, Jr.'s lab, a trophy room bearing all eight Mario Kart trophies, and ultimately, a racing room, where Team Mario's equipment can be found. They are labeled as "guests" since this is Bowser's Castle.

PRE-SHOW:
Soon, guests enter a room where they are briefed by Lakitu. They are racing for Team Mario as the eighth member of a lineup featuring Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, Toadette, and Yoshi. They will be playing against Team Bowser (featuring Bowser, Larry, Iggy, Lemmy, Roy, Morton, Wendy, and Ludwig) for the Universal Cup. Lakitu tells them how to steer and gives some safety instructions.

After that, guests enter the loading area. Here, they pick up VR headsets and board vehicles designed to look like Mario Kart racers. They then sit down and pull down their lapbars.

RIDE EXPERIENCE:
In this ride, guests will experience four races from Mario Kart 8. The sequences are random, meaning that they will get a different combination every time they ride.

Race 1:
  • Mario Circuit
  • Wii Moo Moo Meadows
  • 3DS Piranha Plant Slide
Race 2:
  • GCN Sherbet Land
  • Cloudtop Cruise
  • GBA Bowser Castle 1
Race 3:
  • Toad Harbor
  • GCN Dry Dry Desert
  • Twisted Mansion
Race 4:
  • Bowser's Castle
  • Electrodrome
  • SNES Rainbow Road
Like the game, guests will gain items to attack enemy players. If they score over 5000 points by the end of the last race, Team Mario wins. If they score under 5000 points, Team Bowser wins. They will pass by different endings based on their results. If Team Mario wins, the team will stand on a podium with the Universal Cup trophy and Lakitu will congratulate them. If Team Bowser wins, that team will stand on the podium with the trophy while Lakitu tells them to have better luck next time.

POST-RIDE:
After getting off the vehicles and getting rid of their headset, guests will take a passageway to the 1-Up Factory, a gift shop.

26 - Donkey Kong Country: Minecart Mania!
(Height: 42")
This is a new kind of roller coaster that moves up and down to make guests think they are jumping over gaps. Here, they race through some jungle ruins with Donkey Kong, dodging perils and seeing some characters from the Donkey Kong series. There are also a few references to the 1981 arcade game as well.

  1. These all sound fun! I’ve only done one but I’d like to do the others. I especially love the donkey Kong coaster idea.
