Hollywood: An Overview

 

OVERVIEW:
When guests pass under the Universal Studios Hotel. Here, they enter an 1930's art-deco plaza with the iconic Universal globe in the center of it. Also nearby is a help and service area as well as a gift shop. In the back of the plaza is a giant gate, welcoming people into the park.

As guests go down the street, they can access one of three sections as they make their way to the hub. This includes a studio section in the lower left side, which is informative about movie making, a set section that is more for thrill-seekers, located on the lower right side, and a section themed to the Minions located on the upper left side, which serves as a family area. Also around here is the London area of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, located in the upper right side of the area behind a small pond.

Then, when guests reach the hub, they find a large lagoon in it. This is where nighttime entertainment plays. Also here are the "portals" to the five other lands. Fashioned after the entrances to the worlds in Epic Universe, each one has a spire on top of the portal alongside a quote from the franchise represented within. This includes "More than Meets the Eye (Transformers Metrobase)," "We, my Friends, Have Dragons (Isle of Berk)," "Mischief Managed (The Wizarding World of Harry Potter)," "Life Finds a Way (Isla Nublar)," and "Let's-a-Go! (Super Nintendo World.)"

In short, this is a nice place to enter the park through......and it's an area of its own. No average Main Street, but a world of movie magic and heart-pounding thrills!

  Three distinct gift shops are here on Isla Nublar: Raptor Den: After making it through the Velocicoaster, guests come into this gift shop that's all about the raptors. Here is where guests can buy merchandise themed to the most famous dinosaurs of the franchise, as well as see photos taken of them during the hunt. Jurassic Souvenirs: For those who want the ultimate Jurassic Park or Jurassic World gift, this is the place to find it. Here, guests come into the store of the Discovery Center and find dinosaur toys, clothing, science kits, and more. They can also find photos of them taken on the Isla Nublar Expedition ride. Island Accessories: This store sells several tropical delights, such as sunglasses, hats, and bags. It's like a classic beach store, but with a Jurassic twist.

Super Nintendo World: Attractions

  24 - Yoshi's Journey Climb aboard a Yoshi for a scenic tour of Super Nintendo World. It's a great ride for the whole family! QUEUE: Guests enter the ride through the base of Mount Beanpole, a hill-like structure in the center of the land. As they go through, they will see notes on the wall, explaining that Captain Toad has gone missing. They then pass by Toadette, who will explain how Yoshis have volunteered to take them looking for him. As they ascend a stairway, guests head to the top of the mountain, where they board omnimover vehicles designed like Yoshis. RIDE EXPERIENCE: Guests can move their Yoshis to the left or the right, thus making it easier to see certain points of interest. The ride begins by crossing over a bridge and going past a piranha plant. After narrowly escaping it's Jaws, they pass under a konk-dor. They also move pass some vines, but go carefully around them. Then, they go through a cave where Captain Toad's starship, the Starshroom, has crashed...
